🧵 Thursday Thread - BOM Sneak Peek

Thursday Thread

A weekly note from Tasha Quilts on what I'm stitching and what is inspiring me!

Happy Friday Eve!

My guild's quilt show went great! While I didn't win any awards - it is always so fun to see your quilts hanging up in a show! Maybe next year. Here is a picture of me and the family in front of my quilt!

This is the Petals Crossing Pattern you can get here:https://shop.tashaquilts.com/products/petals-crossing-quilt-pattern-pdf-download

Keep reading for a sneak peek of a new BOM I'm planning and our weekly poll!

I'm Presenting in a Free Quilting Summit!

My presentation went live today! I got some good feedback on the FB post - which was exciting - because I was really nervous! The feedback has been great on the summit, and you'll be able to watch the presentations this weekend. So if you haven't signed up - there is still time!

From my Sewing Room - a BOM preview

I did get some EPP done this week, but not too much done at the sewing machine. In the Clubhouse membership, I'm starting to plan a skill building BOM. Each month will be a new block that takes on a journey from the basics - a half-square triangle - through a friendship knot block. I'd love any feedback you have on it!

Weekly Poll

Last week we talked about our favorite fall flavor

  • 36% said apple
  • 22% said pumpkin
  • 36% said both
  • 6% said neither!

I do prefer apple over pumpkin. I like pumpkin treats, but I don't love pumpkin spice - and almost everything is contaminated with pumpkin spice, lol!

Let's do today marks 3 months until Christmas Eve (omg I just started to panic) - so let's check in - how's that Holiday Sewing going?

Happy Friday Eve! I recently searched the internet looking for the perfect wallet to make. I found the pattern on Etsy, bought it, and even spent two hours making it. Then I realize the pattern was not good. I wasted a lot of time. I reached out to the seller who apologized and promised they would take the listing down? Do you think that happened? Hear all about it in this week's video - UGH! This video has been taking off a bit (for me) on YouTube, and there are so many comments of people...

Thursday Thread A weekly note from Tasha Quilts on what I'm stitching and what is inspiring me! Happy Friday Eve! This week I experimented making a stained glass inspired (sort of) applique quilt block. It's not perfect, and I think I'd do some things differently next time. I think I would do the full flower and petal units together on the back and then cut them out instead of the individual pieces. I'd also change up the colors a bit. I'd love for you to tell me how you think I could make...

Thursday Thread A weekly note from Tasha Quilts on what I'm stitching and what is inspiring me! Happy Friday Eve! This week is an exciting week - my oldest turns 9 today! My daughter even spent her bookfair money on him yesterday to get him a present today. I did finish up this quilt recently - well, I outsourced it, lol. My friend Susan quilted and put the binding on this quilt for me. It is a Cotton Cuts Puzzle Mystery Quilt called Flyaway. I originally really didn't like this quilt because...
