Happy Friday Reader!

With a new month, I'm all about setting goals. I've always been the kid/adult that loves a fresh start, a new notebook, etc.

We are setting our monthly goals in the Clubhouse and normally I'm so ambitious. But I'm finding the way I'm setting goals can suck the fun out of sewing. Maybe it is because I don't feel I have creative liberties to do what I'm in the mood for. And I'm a dilly dallier; I like to go where the mood takes me. So, as I set my monthly goals this month, maybe they will be more around making time to sew instead of what I want to get done. It is not a race after all, is it?

Although, my sister is getting married in July, and I have an idea for a wall hanging for her, so I probably should get moving on that....

If you're in the Clubhouse, make sure you set your May goals on this post so we can all be nosey supportive about what you've got going on!

Update on my Alice's Wonderland Quilt Using Liberty Fabric

My first five blocks are done! Some of these pieces were TINY. I am loving how it is coming out. I think the Log Cabin block was a bit busy - but I think it will be fine in the overall quilt! I can't remember if I mention it in the video or not, but that was actually my very first Log Cabin block!

Weekly Poll

Last week we talked about if you used EQ8. 50% said no, 25% said yes, and 25% said they didn't know what EQ8 was. I even got some emails from some of you (I'm looking at you Bethany) that have it but don't use it.

EQ8 is a software you can use to design your own quilts. It is Electric Quilt 8. It leads me to this week's question, how many of you design your own quilts?

Happy Friday Eve Reader! Well, when I suggested last week, it would be nice for quilting to be more kid friendly, I did not anticipate that there would be people who were firmly against that. First, thank you for all the great email responses last week - every one of them gave me something to...

Happy Friday Eve Reader! Do kids belong in quilting spaces? Specifically quilt shows and shops. I talked about how quilt shows were not particularly kid friendly this week. Even though the video has only been up a short time - I am surprised in some of the feedback I've received both privately and...
