A weekly note from Tasha Quilts

Happy Friday Eve!

Well, it is actually my Friday - we have tomorrow off for Juneteenth. I've got a lot to do this weekend, including celebrating Father's Day and a bunch of quilty stuff - and I have a feeling it is going to zip by!

I hope the weather here in CNY is cooperates. It is looking pretty rainy the next week!

What are you working on lately?

Shop News

The fabric shop is officially open! I soft launched it to the Clubhouse and shipped my first 6 orders. If you've been wanting to try Liberty Tana Lawn, I've put together smaller bundles to make it more affordable without having to buy full cuts. More products are coming soon, including a mini quilt pattern designed for the Fat 1/16 bundles.

Visit the shop: https://shop.tashaquilts.com/

Currently shipping only to the US. Thanks for all your support (whether just reading these emails, watching my YouTube videos, sharing with a friend or buying fabrics!)

Weekly Poll

In our last poll I asked about mini quilts.

  • 54% of you said you loved making mini quilts
  • 25% only said they only liked making big quilts
  • 19% said they would try a mini quilt
  • 2% said they just had too many thoughts on the subject to be boxed into the poll

This week let's talk about quilting motivation - I have heard a few people are in a quilting slump. Maybe it is because you're tired from working in the garden.

Thursday Thread A weekly note from Tasha Quilts Happy Friday Eve! I haven't gotten much sewing down this week. However, the husband did get to the doctor and got cleared to walk and drive - and hopefully he will be back to work in a few weeks. If you haven't been following along with this saga, he had an accident with this foot and his lawn mower. His big toe did not fare well in this fight! While I haven't been sewing, my friend Fallon over at Sew Be It Quilts is stitching up some fabric she...

Thursday Thread A weekly note from Tasha Quilts Happy Friday Eve! For the most part, we had a busy but uneventful week. No hospital stays or major plumbing issues. We'll take that as a win! I haven't had a bunch of time in my sewing room, but I've started laying out blocks for a special project. At the day job we have a tradition where the first time someone has a baby a bunch of people contribute quilt blocks and we make them into a wall hanging. I'll be assembling the below blocks into a 4...

Thursday Thread A weekly note from Tasha Quilts Happy Friday Eve! Last week I mentioned that things were improving with my husband's recovery. Well, this weekend threw us another curve ball, and he had to have another surgery this past weekend. He's home recovering now and we're taking things one day at a time. Because of everything going on, I wasn't able to get a new YouTube video out this week. The past six weeks have been a good reminder that family always comes first. However, my sewing...
