🧵 Thursday Thread: An 8-year quilt project

Happy Friday Eve Reader!

This week's video I'm talking about my March quilting goals. I'm trying to find the balance between new shiny projects and finishing up WIPs.

The WIP I'm focusing on this month?
An 8-year-old EPP project.

I started it years ago thinking it would be a quick, relaxing project… and somehow eight years later I'm still working on it.

How old is your longest WIP? Do you plan on finishing it someday? Really, hit reply and tell me! I'd love to highlight how old some of our WIPs are in our next newsletter!

Clubhouse News

Zoom Sessions:

We have two Zoom sewing sessions scheduled this month in the Clubhouse to help me get through those March goals. So, if you're a Clubhouse member, be sure to mark your calendars. I will definitely be cutting the EPP fabric during these sessions because it is my least favorite task but it is so nice to do it while gabbing!

  1. Wednesday March 11 at 8-9 EST
  2. Saturday March 21 from 2-3:30 EST

As always, come for as little or as long as you'd like, and hopefully it helps you get something accomplished!

These Zooms are not recorded, these are sit and sew sessions. We also do not discuss politics in these Zoom sessions so we can all get a little break from the world!

WIP Challenge:

If you joined the Clubhouse after I closed the 2026 WIP challenge, I'm going to be working on opening it back up for new members! For every WIP you complete, you enter a chance to win a gift-card! Hopefully by next week's e-mail I'll have that new form set up for anyone who missed their original chance!

BOM Progress

And, for those of you following along on my progress with the Year of Flowers BOM - I have completed the March block! Hoping to be caught up by the time the April block is released (which will be mid-March). I just now have January to do!

That’s this week’s Thursday Thread.

Take care of yourself, you deserve it!

P.S. A quick heads up — Clubhouse membership pricing will be increasing in April. If you’ve been thinking about joining, now is the time to lock in the current rate. Once you join, your price stays the same - currently $5/month.

May your bobbin always be full!

This Week's Struggle Lately, the biggest thing getting in the way of my sewing hasn't been motivation. It's Time. Work has been busy. The kids need three meals a day - every day (ugh, lol)! And when I do have a...

Happy Friday Eve Reader! You don’t need more time to quilt. I thought I did. For the longest time, I told myself: “If I just had more time, I’d finish more quilts.” But the truth? It wasn’t time. It was focus. I loved starting projects. But when it came time to actually finish them, I’d bounce to something new. That’s how I ended up with a pile of WIPs. So, I changed one thing: I started focusing on just one “Momentum Quilt” each month. Not to finish it. Just to make progress. And that’s...
