Sewing Room Organization, Snow & WIP Challenge last call!

Happy Friday Reader!

It has been a while since I sent a newsletter. I feel like I've been in straight up survival mode!

The husband is working non-stop thanks to the snow, and the kids have had a bunch of time off school due to scheduled days off and snow days. So, it has been an adventure. Even Sophie is over this freezing cold & snow!

However, I have been keeping up with organizing my sewing room! I'll share some photos below. Also, get your WIPs into the Clubhouse by January 31 for our 2026 WIP challenge, more info on that below!

Things are tough out there right now, take care of yourself.

Sewing Room Update

New Shelving!

I have been slowly trying to get my sewing space organized. Yesterday the kids and I assembled this shelf. Took me a bit to get the hang of it. I ended up taking some creative license and switching which part is the bottom vs. the side because I wanted something a little more sturdy for the fabric I wrapped on the comic book boards. However, I don't even know if that was necessary. This is a great shelf, but I wouldn't put anything super heavy on it. But I think it is going to be great for organizing my fabric!

This Week's Struggle Lately, the biggest thing getting in the way of my sewing hasn't been motivation. It's Time. Work has been busy. The kids need three meals a day - every day (ugh, lol)! Happy Friday Eve Reader! You don’t need more time to quilt. I thought I did. For the longest time, I told myself: “If I just had more time, I’d finish more quilts.” But the truth? It wasn’t time. It was focus. I loved starting projects. But when it came time to actually finish them, I’d bounce to something new. That’s how I ended up with a pile of WIPs. So, I changed one thing: I started focusing on just one “Momentum Quilt” each month. Not to finish it. Just to make progress. And that’s...
